The book presents translation of fragments of “Ptahhotep”, with the addition of some passages from “The teaching for Merikare”. The gathered admonitions present the wisdom of Egypt from the time of the III millennium BC.  The main topics are the right way of speaking and listening, the subjugation to the will of god, the responsibility towards ones actions concerning the fate in the afterlife.
